Founded by survivors, for survivors.
New Beginnings is a dynamic and compassionate non-profit charity committed to providing support and resources to individuals navigating the journey of rebuilding their lives after experiencing domestic and family violence. Founded by survivors, for survivors, our organisation is rooted in empathy, understanding, and empowerment. We offer a range of practical assistance and holistic support services aimed at helping survivors regain their independence, dignity, and sense of hope. One of our key initiatives involves supplying hamper packs from seven categories—kitchen, cleaning, clothing, Manchester, pet, toiletries, and food—containing brand new essential household items, at no cost to the recipient. Our dedicated team is driven by the belief that every individual deserves a chance at a brighter future, free from violence and fear. Through our tireless efforts and collaborative approach, we strive to create a community where healing, resilience, and new beginnings are possible for all.
OUR START-UP STORY
Meet Rayen.
I am woman. I am a mother, a volunteer and I am also; a survivor of Domestic and Family Violence.
My journey hasn't been easy, but I am humbled and honoured to share a very brief overview of how this journey began.
June 2020: I joined We Are Community Incorporated; a 100% volunteer run not for profit charity aiding our most vulnerable members of society, as a night patrol volunteer delivering hot meals. Trying to rebuild my identity and give my life another meaning after leaving a very brutal, life-threatening and toxic relationship.
March 2022 : I was given the opportunity to co-create the New Beginnings Domestic and Family Violence Project. Today I stand before you as the proud managing director of New Beginnings and ask you for your assistance in supporting us to continue to aid our greater community; because I truly believe together we can all achieve wonders.
